WCC History
World Champion Center is Kukkiwon, World Taekwondo Federation,
and USA Taekwondo accredited school.
World Champion Center (WCC), formerly called Lee’s Taekwondo, was first established in May 16,2008. A two-time Taekwondo World Champion, Master Dongnyeok Kang’s vision was to create a brighter future by empowering others to live a positive and healthy lifestyle. He believed that a balance between positive mindset and healthy body was a necessary step to a brighter future. He desired to help individuals to become responsible and good followers and leaders in family, community, and society. Moreover, the only way for him to share and empower others was through teaching what he was best at, Taekwondo.
Master Kang desired to establish high quality Kukkiwon Taekwondo schools in the US and share positive and healthy lifestyle with its members through the Olympic Sport of Taekwondo.
Master Kang started a program for highly qualified 4th, 5th and 6th degree Black Belts Masters who shared the same passion as he and were interested in working with WCC. WCC saw potential in our masters and gave them opportunities to excel. Many came, but only the best were selected to become WCC masters.
WCC goals are set high, and there will be many more quality WCC Taekwondo schools opening.
From March 2012 through July 2013, WCC lauched four other Taekwondo school in the Tampa Bay and Lakeland area. All of our school became an immediate success because families knew that our Masters were highly qualified and was certain that they themselves can benefit from our WCC schools.
Every WCC school has truly become part of a community. WCC not only teaches high quality Taekwondo and provides excellent educational Afterschool and Camp programs, but also spreads happiness through empowering members to focus on a happier and healthier lifestyle. We strive to be an extension of every family, teaching our members to grow with Respect, Focus, and Confidence.
